Modern 80mm Sus Forks

Come on Dave your an engineer , you must have realized you can lower a suspension fork . I'm really surprised this isn't common on here .

It is pinkbike so expect a lot of pinkbike type replys in those 80 pages , About 60 pages are " can I lower my xyz ?"

I'd go for an older BAM arch marzocchi , the M arch would look too new and you can find some later ones that don't have the early Z1 premium . For very little money you could have some low , stiff ( think of all that stanchion overlap ) forks that are marzocchi plush and the matching 10 year service life too .

wow perry hers for that man! i have recently versed my self in taking apart forks (took apart my brand new £250 forks  ) but learnt about fork! (i learn by destruction, i broke a latop once, then fixed it by learning :D ). i noticed on that link that ofrks can be highered, how feasible is this? going from 105 to maybe 120?

Another vote for Fox here. Got some Float RLC 100s on my Hei Hei (2004 model I think) dropped to 80mm and they're nice, look sweet too in grey :D

 I design structures in reinforced concrete & steelwork, can just about cope with stripping, cleaning & re-greasing RC35

Thanks for all the advice guys, think I'll be going with the majority & sourcing a Fox fork.

Reba and 10 mins fiddling with spacers. They'll go to 80 with the bits in the box, or craft some extra spacers and go shorter.
