Mobile phone sim card question

How do i get an iphone to work on a different network sim card? iPhone is O2 but i want to fit an Orange sim.

I'm pretty sure you cant, iPhones can't be unlocked as far as I'm aware. They can be jail-broken but on your own head be it.

I'd recommend updating all your firmware and backing everything up before you jail-break as it won't be able to be updated after that. My thoughts are with you (not brave enough to jail-break my iPhone 4!).

I was hoping that to change the sim would be different to a 'jail break' But not.

I'm not the best iT person and computers are out to get me

I have 'jail broken an iphone but my hand was held by an excellent iT person. This time I'll be on my own. So x fingers

If the iphone is out of contract then the original network provider should unlock it for you (a fee maybe applicable). If you are still in your contract period then jailbreaking is your only option.
