I'm not sure if anyone is currently having dealings with these companies but if you are, the recievers are apparently about to be called in

Not surprised! Overpriced and under designed is my experience of them - we were told we had to have drawers somewhere in the kitchen, as in a set of drawers, we said we didn't want a set of drawers, we were told we HAD to have them, we told him where the door was!!! Their price was a good £5k over the top of local companies too... In a galley kitchen as well - local firm did it for around £10k including appliances!!!

Lucky I paid off my kitchen a while back. Was a real arse getting out of/settling the finance which was a total f**king con.

Have to say Hab have been slowly going off message for a decade, i wonder if this will be the saviour or turn them into Debenhams II, the sequel. :?

Habitat have been in trouble for a few years. They were owned by the family that own Ikea until a couple of years ago when the family sold it off to a company that specialises in 'struggling' retailers. Guess that Habitiat is too much of a struggle so they've passed it on too!

As much as i like habitat it should have died in the mid-ninties, kitchen companies always struck me as a massive swizz so good riddance i say...hope no one gets burnt by their passing though.

I will be happy to see moben go, used them 10 yrs ago, big mistake, held the last part of the cash back and got threatened with court, when I set out my counterclaim they gave up. Were always pretending to be something they were not - even the dots over the "o". Did they think we would think they were German ?

Bollocks to all the kitchen company's.... I had quoted between 7-12k for the kitchen/diner in my first house. Large room full width of house... Had some awful designs with breakfast bars etc...

Off I went to Ikea! My design... I fitted, tiled and floored it including a range cooker and a huge American fridge for 3.5k!
