MIT forks?

Seen some very old-looking MIT forks on ebay. Never heard of them. Anyone know if they are any use (by the standards of the mid-90s I guess)?

these came as std on saracens in ealy to mid 90s,i had 2 pair which were fine but nowt compared to rockshoxs,you get what you pay for hope this helps.

OK I get ya. Not really what I want then. I want summat that's old school but at least feels right. Not bothered about much travel but preferably solid, not flexy, and with some sort of functional damping. And purple would be good too.
Some old Marzocchis maybe.
