Mint 753 Zinn!!!

Has anyone thought to email the seller...??? I bet he has already spent the money he thought he was getting for it..... :? could be worth an email..?....he now might take less....???

Also...., i have just re-read this thread, and the different views posted, ref its value, and why its coveted by so many of us...!!!

I sat back and thought.....name me one "other mountain bike" that is made buy hand, uses a complete campag groupset, and i mean everything.....full group, headset, pedals, seatpost, rims etc.....and then add to that..... it is a full "EUROPEAN" build,

No shimano No american boutique components, nothing japanese...at all...????...the bike came new specd with these tyres....!!!!

Then theres the fact, the tubeset is REYNOLDS 753,

This tube set, was the best there was, the range topper, and at this time... NEW to mountain bikes!!
And had only previously been used for lightweight road/track and time trial machines, the builder had to be certificated to use it, and it was hard and costly....!!!

I cant honestly think of one other bike that comibined all the above factors...??

To me i think this bike speaks for itself....and easily worth well over a grand, simply for all of the above......   8)

There are very few " BRITISH " bikes that i consider in the same regard as say a C26, the orange formula is one , and a campag equipped REYNOLDS 753 tubed Zinn is the other. The fact that this is in stunning condition, i rekon its less like a unicorn and more like a fire breathing dragon......sat on top of BIG BEN.......you wouldnt see that every day..... :D .LMAO..... 8)

I think im going to have to email the seller.... :? :? :?

Priceless

Sinnerman, your absolutely spot on mate!

When mine was first offered to me i would have gladly travelled to another country to pick it up..

The Zinn was simply a very pleasant memory for me and i NEVER imagined i would have the pleasure of owning one..

Sure, its not a USA made iconic thermoplastic space shuttle! (or parts of one!) But a true lovely UK made classic.

If i was you i wouldnt hesitate contacting the seller of the E-bay Zinn!

....  , after a lot of thought , i have emailed the seller, and if im prepared to drive to Bath today, i can buy it,... :? we have agreed a much more favourable price, due to me putting myself out to drive up to get it.

So the planned ride for today has been postponed.... :D 8)

An awesum day, and a definate " OVERDOSE " of RBD......IM BUZZING... 8)
