As far as I'm aware, each Pioneer frame was unique and as for the completely custom HQ, with only around 6 made, they are absolute bargains in comparison.

The brazing on a zinn is badgers arse rough compared to a overburys, roberts, TT ritchey etc.

I couldn't even get £50 for my Butler frame, which being handmade 653 Magnum (mixed 653 main tubes and 753 stays) is pretty comparable to this.
Glad that I didn't now though.

It is 18". Did I list it as something else then, can't honestly remember. Thanks god for typos, it's been with me for 18 years now and I think I would have regretted selling it.

Got some updates to do on it soon when I get a spare few days .

Hmmmm...

I like your Overbury's better than the Zinn by far. A really really nice bike indeed and within a lot more people's budget. Not to say that expensive bikes aren't great....

I find it quite interesting that all the Zinns I have seen have been completely immaculate - even down to tyres chains and cables.

They are also still 'factory' with complete Campag and original stem and bars etc.

This is quite common on Kleins, but I wonder if the Zinns maybe appealed more to seasoned roadies who wanted to try their hand at MTB?

This might be a reason why they chose a FB Reynolds steel frame (something they would have experience with and trust) and why the ones that come up for sale are so pristine.

After a couple of rides, the buyers decided to stick to roads and the Zinn remained unused?

Anyway, just a ponder...

I like your Overbury's better than the Zinn by far. A really really nice bike indeed and within a lot more people's budget. Not to say that expensive bikes aren't great....

And there is the kicker, this Zinn (the one one eBay that we are all taking about, you know the one, you've seen it on the Internet... etc) is expensive, but I know that you can pick up a Zinn, or an Overburys, or a Roberts for much, much less. Its a funny auction, it has actually gone higher in 2 days than I thought it would achieve full stop, I dont mind though.

Its true, Ive seen one not so good one that was clearly used (was still original and well maintained though.)

On a side note, Im glad LGF posted a picture of one of his bikes in this thread as I had 28p riding on it - guess who's going to the shop for a mini milk... (Yes!)
