merlin decals and years

I see three different type of merlin decals floating about:

white on white decals

black decals

and white with black outline decals.

Can someone tell me which decals are appropriate to which model years?

One thing that confuses me is the 1992 model year. From here the mombat page http://mombat.org/MOMBAT/BikeHistoryPages/Merlin.html one can see that white decals are being used in the June 1992 catalog, and white seems to be used in the 1993 and later years.

so - my question is: when were the white/white decals used and when were the white /black outline decals used?

also - is it possible that merlin built some frames in 1991, but sold them in 1993?
Is it also possible that some merlins were sold in 1992 that had black decals?
