Re:

:P WOW! Why did I never buy one of these bikes years ago!

The ride is Supreme.

All the road buzz and vibration has been vitually illiminated! Where has it all gone! I suppose the soft tyres and saddle and the forks soak up little bits of it, but I believe the frame itself has indeed got the magical properties you so often hear about with titanium. The natural flex of the frame makes cycling effortless.

Uphills are flattened, the wind is now just a gentle breeze, and nowhere is too far. 8)

If anyone's thinking of getting a Merlin, do it, you won't regret it, you'll just wish you bought one years earlier.

:!: The only one problem I have encountered was fitting the seatpost, almost getting it jammed in (this seems to be a well known problem with titanium bikes and posts). Anyway I left it to my brother to sort out, as I know that I might damage it otherwise, and he used a reemer device to cut minute shavings off the inside of the seat tube and now i can insert it very easily left handed. ➡️ Then I offered him the first go ...just as he was leaving to go to work. ha ha not likely, it's mine!

I wonder if it's worth getting a slightly smaller seat post and then use a shim to stop the titanium on titanium bonding?
