Mercian Tandem

Hi i am looking for some advice and help i have a Mercian tandem to which my father in law has in his garage he actually brought the bike from east leek Nottinghamshire from a lady who husband passed away.

My father in law didn't have a clue on the make of the bike but i noticed it was a mercian tandam in immaculate condition it has brooks leather seats which i assumed may be quite an old bike but it is in showroom condition with all markings showing it was build by a place or company i assume called reynolds.

My father in law is looking to sell the bike and i have advised for him not to just place such a nice bike on eBay etc without having some advice of price and history of this bicycle.

could anybody lend some expert options please.

What happened? Got a pm saying there had been another posting and when I logged on it said I was not authorised to read it. So found it in the forum and its all gone missing.Not the end of the world so to speak as was only mildly interested but where and why?

Not sure where it has all gone looks like admin have removed it not sure why I'm afraid the bike is still for sale
