Mercian on BBC News Derby.

My first lightweight, bought second hand in 1981, orange and white, Suntour bits and bobs on. Plentiful here in Ireland back then. Very popular. Stephen Roche had one in his teens.

I consider you Mr Mercian Paul. Doubt many on this site are as familiar with them as you
That title belongs to Jeff Bowler.
He has more knowledge of the company than anyone I know .
They have apparently stopped producing the flag ship model the Vincitore . A lot of hand filing to make to beautiful lugs .I have retired mine as I have worn it out .
I wonder it the lugs could be saved .
Re built it would be like triggers broom.

Excellent news , the price rise since I had mine built in 1991 at £680 approx is interesting. £2,4590 now . I will have a look at the specifications and see what's been updated.

I am off to sell my soul to 666 or something involving been chased by blue lights.
So many options for a frame build and tube set used .
