Just me having a puzzling rant

The longer you are in here the better the chance you should know what is good and bad in bikes, the market trends and more importantly prices.

I know sometimes some forget they will never get back what they put in but every now and again you get a long term member come out with a wtf momment.

It just puzzles me sometimes when experienced members seem to be on planet lala when it comes to sales and expectations

Sorry for the rant

I have no idea what your talking about , By the way just putting a m900 rear mech in the classifieds for £90 if your interested??

I wonder if this has anything to do with one of the current threads in the eBay section?!

If it does, then it's puzzled me too!

Mint Apollo Terra, yours for £850, or £900 delivered.

It really is up to a seller to set their price. It might be they don't really want to sell, and have little motivation to be realistic.

Of course, people set their boots in the clay once you try to lower them - especially sarcastically.

Buying vehicles I encounter sellers who are truly stubborn; I might ask if they have the service history for a look see before I hand over money and they start insisting they won't be knocked down. I would not be there looking if I was intending to knock down on something I haven't discussed before test driving, but you often can't take a proper look without them starting to get uppity. Once we go test drive and I take them to put it up on a lift to get a decent view they are often very difficult. When I bought the wife's 4x4 the chap didn't want us to try it out off road, because they 'hadn't bought it for that'.

Such is life.

The current one is one in a long line

In the ebay section you look and you think haha what a joker..then realise it's someone from here who has been here years and has posted enough to know the difference

but it also happens sometimes in the members section where we generally are less likely to say..have you been sniffing glue?.. but plenty are thinking it

just puzzles me

Do they eventually get them sold at their price? It is common to list things at high prices to solicit off eBay offers. When selling cars I use Classified and get loads of cheeky offers well under.

Maybe its beacuse its on ebay? There are many many fools on there.
Often i have seen people outrageously bidding on items when sometimes as little as 2 adverts down - the same item can be had new for les than the bidding price.

Certianly most of us when seeking offers will post slightly above the expected amount to "haggle" down or in the hope someone has been after something so long that they will pay the price just to get something

it's the supersillious ones that just amaze me from apparently the informed
