Mc San Andreas fun bike build.

Picked up this 1999 San an before Xmas my brother has painted the main frame house of kolor root beer candy. So far have fox r36's and an alfine gear setup looking forward to having some fun on this!

Yah alfine 8. Got a lovely syncros 20mm bolt through for it yesterday

Alfine arrived today much lighter than I expected.

Lighter than you expected? I build a 96 Kona with it too. And i think it was way heavy... Do you know how much more it is than a normal.shimano hub and rear mesh? I expect around 500gr more. But don't really know.
And fun project BTW.

I'll do some weighing and find out but was pleasantly surprised! I knew it would be a bit heavier but no mechs to mess about with is well worth it. What ratio did you run? I'm thinking 32/18

I did run it with 42-18.... but I use it on roads... and with 700c wheels... som more like 42-15 if you take wheel size in...
