August 1991 - just for interest, a Sharrocks advert.

Two things stand out here. At a time when you could buy an M730 XT chainset for £70, an Alpine Stars TI Mega Kloser frameset cost £2,700!! Not sure what justified the £700 premium over a standard TI Mega frameset? Sorry, actually I see now, The other was aluminium and titanium, a weird combo if ever there was one.

Secondly, not something I noticed at the time or since, was that Muddy Fox had a Titanium Dream model. That's a unicorn if ever there was one.

Perhaps a Sharrocks employee of that era can elaborate, or anyone who owned such exotica?

think the full Ti alpine star related to the forks, stem and seatpost whereas the standard had the same frame but alloy parts. The muddy fox ti was a cool bike, seem to remember someone had Jimmy Savile fix it for him to ride one, Gen 1 Pace RC30s, maguras and the rest.
