Mayhem 2017 "Retro-Bution" Team sub thread

Looks great, very excited to be riding, seems all the more real now the team list/order is up. Thanks for letting me ride the dawn leg, much appreciated. Now the important task of doing some training  !

It's great!

I have a legitimate reason for spending even more time on the bike. :D She can't argue with that.

Re:

Well spent yesterday in the "man cave" prepping one of the bikes for the big weekend. Just one cabel to finish and adjustment of the front mech (loath them!).
Might bring a second bike too....I can get 3 on the carrier...hmmm

No Grafton/Topline. Weather dependent the tires will change, probably Michelin Wildgripper Sprints or Comp S in green or Panaracer Fire XC Pro Red.....oh choices.....:D

Hey Hotwheels ... Have you seen the Broom lately, check out their team thread quick as that's all the encouragement you'll need to build your own

VIEW AT YOUR OWN PERIL....

I checked out the eyesore that is Frank the 69er the other day, certainly a colossal boost for any man to sort a ride out asap. It's a bit like the Citroen 2CV on Top Gear, always in the background, just waiting for a mechanical failure to arise, yet in the Citroen you never had to wear a clown outfit with it.

So, to you Mayhem veterans...what the schnitzel do we take with? What essentials does one need for not only the race, but the weekend on the whole :?:
Beer and a bike as a starter I'm guessing....maybe somewhere to sleep.
The rules state that once a lap has started there's no turning back, so if you have a mechanical 100 yards in, you'll be walking the entire course until the finish (unless another racer stops and helps/lends you gear), so a VERY sound and proven steed is a must I would wager.
Lists please chaps...... 8)
