Mavic Sup Rims

Can anybody tell me somethin about "Mavic Open Pro Sup Rim"

Are they any good? Lightweight?

The open pro isn't 'lightweight' at around 430g but not heavy, it depends on what you're comparing it with tbh.
They are pretty much your stock commuter/training rim, generally very well built and will withstand a fair amount of punishment. They'll also take up to a 32mm tyre which is great if you want to tour on them.

I was looking at these as a "swap" for my sprints and tubs..I think the SUP is related to how the two parts of the rim are welded together so as not to create a "join".

I looked at the Americal Classic rims first as they seemed to weigh a lot less.......as would my wallet LOL

They do a cheaper sport version too.

Omega seem to do a cheaper copy but unless I can find anything else I guess I'll get them....
