Mavic Speedcity 700c wheels

I am selling my mint condition Mavic Speedcity wheels. These are a niche type wheelset, but are very useful and nicely made.

These are 700c (road diametre) wheels that are 135mm spaced for use as training wheels on disc braked MTBs. ie. you can use 23mm road tires and turn your MTB into a roadie!

I bought these as a second set for my disc braked cyclocross bike, but it turns out that I only need the one pair. My other set is exactly the same set of wheels - they are great.

They can also be used with rim brakes as they have a brake surface, though I have never seen anyone actually using them like this.

They are in excellent to mint condition and include 160mm Avid BB7 rotors.

I would like to get 200gbp + actual shipping from Geneva Switzerland.

Any questions, please let me know!

29er wheels to0

These can be used as 29er wheels as well. They couldn't be beaten on, but if you are a fairly adept rider, 29ing on these is a possibility.

I was going to keep these for mine, but decided it is best to pass these along.

Cheers

Darren

still available

These were in hibernation - still for sale. Cool wheels - I use a set of them now on my CX bike and they are great!

I'd take 180 GBP + shipping

bump

bump for those who are now riding disc braked CX or hybrids. This is a great upgrade for cheap wheels spec'd as OEM on such bikes.

NOTE: Tires are no longer available on these wheels - they've been repurposed. Price drop to 170gbp + shipping . . .

I am trying to convince a friend of this - but he's a cursed minimalist and as of today, they are still available.

These are nice wheels. I've used mine on a few SS 29ers for a number of years, with tires up to 2.25 and they've held up perfectly. Holland is not the most demanding of MTB territories, but I am member of the Clydeasdale club

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks!

You are correct. They are great wheels. As mentioned, I use the identical pair on my CX bike. They are nice stiff wheels.

Basically, they are an upgrade to any stock disc CX wheels out there, they would also do well on a 29er as long as it isn't DH/FR/AM riding, and it will convert a 26er to a road machine in seconds.

How can you go wrong with these wheels, I ask you?!?!?
