Mavic Rims

H plus tb14 is a better rim wider but heavier. Also try dt swiss rr440. Quite light and stiff. Rear rim is aysmmetric. The open pro is narrow and shallow and not very stiff. You have worn out your rims try something new.

Re:

I would go for a rim with the same erd to save money
/ effort on the rebuild as you can use same spokes.

Too late - I've already purchased the open pros :-)
To be fair on Mavic, the cxp33s were worn out when i bought the bike, along with most of the other components, so I really should have replaced them straight away rather than trying to ride them for as long as I have. I did consider something sturdier like the A119 but decided that I didn't want the weight penalty, and I like the shiny silver of the OPs.
I don't have issues with rapid rim wear on my other mavics (aksium, cxp22) - i just wondered whether careful pad choice might make them last even longer.
