Mavic M231 and 117 rims - Sold for peanuts

We're always hearing how hard it is to find NOS rims from the early nineties. So how come these NOS 32h Mavic 231s only made £12 and change?

Crazier still, I just missed out on a pair of 28h 117s for £1.20! I'd put on a watching bid of £1, but forgot to increase it before the auction closed!

timing is everything. I can remember a couple pair of NOS in the same going in the $285-300 range.

Have noticed there is loads of the nos 28h rims on eBay.

Gotta admit missed the 32h 231's
