That looks like it's just a dust cover, it'll have no structural importance. Try and glue it if you can :)

DITTO with the above.

If you are to try and glue it, try a product called 'Plastic Weld'! Its not glue as such but when you apply the product by brush it kinda melts the edges and welds the two plastic parts together forming a join as solid as the unbroken part of the plastic, this stuff is used in the car bumper repair business and plastic modellers use it too.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember that Mavic had a recall on the plastic dust caps like yours on Mavic Cosmics and replaced them with alloy ones?

yes, i think you are correct. I just read on a TT forum that they were recalled. I'm getting really concerned. I love the wheels, but love my teeth more. i wish i could find some alloy caps to replace them........looks like i will reluctantly have to replace the wheel......

Nah, I agree with the previous poster, its only a dust cap, not structural, you'll be ok, only issue would be if the spokes came very loose, potentially they could pop out sideways if there was no cap there to hold them in. A very unlikely situation!

They're just a dust cap, and don't do anything to hold the spokes in. with so few spokes, there is quite a high tension in each one, so there's no way they're going to come out, even without the dust cap. for a spoke to come out of the hub, it would either have to break or lose lots of tension, and if either of those thing happens then the wheel will more than likely be unrideable anyway.
