Mavic chainset now sold Wheels now sold

Is there any interest in a Mavic starfish 631 chainset? The drive side is in pretty good condition, but the left arm has a crack at the bottom bracket end. I have been using it on a turbo bike with no issues but I personally would not use it on the road. It is 170mm and will have 49/38 chainrings fitted. I will chuck in a 54 tooth chainring as well. £20 posted in the UK and I will put pics up shortly (the pic will only show the 49 ring as I haven't fitted the 38 yet). Also open to offers on this. SOLD

Also from this same turbo bike is a well used pair of wheels with Mavic threaded 501 hubs and Mavic 32 spoke clincher rims. The hubs aren't too bad but the rear rim is running well out of true, hence the use on the turbo. Currently fitted with a 6 speed Regina freewheel and 25mm Michelin tyres which are actually ok. £35 including postage in the UK and again I will put some pics up later. NOW SOLD

Pick up is definitely possible sometime over Xmas if you prefer and prices will be £15 for the chainset and and £20 for the wheels. I am located near Hinckley in Leicestershire.

Any interest?

Re: Mavic chainset and wheels

Thanks for your interest, pics of wheels added. The hubs are a bit grubby but should clean up. The bearings feel fine.

Re: Mavic chainset and wheels

Hi Bultaco, I bought the D.A. freewheel from you recently. The wheels look like quite a project, so as you'd invited offers, £30 posted and as before regular PayPal, not the friends and family. Cheers, John.

Re: Mavic chainset and wheels

Hi John, yes, they are definitely a project. The freewheel is the best bit and if I had a removing tool I would have taken it off and sold it separately.

Your offer is fine, thanks. I need to get hold of a box, so please bear with me and I will let you know once I am ready to post. Would it be ok to leave that until after Xmas now? You don't have to send any money until I ship them.

Re: Mavic chainset and wheels

Thanks so much B. And, yes, that's fine I'll await your update. Stay safe and enjoy the holidays. J.
