I've never been good at maths, could you help me with a problem.

what is the cost per mile for each journey

£48 million the cost of India's rocket to mars, India to mars is 33.9 million miles

£42.6 billion the estimated cost of the new HS2, London to Birmingham is 118.3 miles

It would be considerably more expensive to get to Mars if you had to lay track all the way and possibly buy the land to lay it on.

A bloke has a fiver, and borrows a tenner for food. He spends a tenner on food, then he then buys a bus pass for a fiver so he can get to his new job to earn money so he can pay for his own bloody food from now on.

Are you gonna shout down that bloke, because he could have just borrowed a fiver? He'd only be stuck having to ask for more.
