When they were new, the 1996 F1000 cost $1,840, the 1995 Team FRS cost $2,100 and a 1996 Serotta ATX with Manitou Mach 5 cost $2,800, so I guess with rigid fork it would have cost c$2,400. I'm no expert, but I would have thought the current values would be more like a quarter of those prices than what he's asking.
