MARIN TEAM

Hi!
I bought a frame of a Marin team... There is "TET" written under the frame...I think it's for the Tom Teesdale's frames...So, I think it's a marin team from 1990 because I found informations said Tom Teesdale builded the frame for the Marin Team in 1989/1990... It is made in reynolds tubes...But there's no fork for this bike...Is anybody who know wich fork was on this bike? Is anybody who as a idea about wich rigid fork could I put ? I thought about a Tange I've seen...Anyway, is there someody who know something about this bike...I'm intersting about this history.

Hi, I know the Teesdale Kona Hot frames had TET serial numbers, I wasn't aware of Tom Teesdale making frames for Marin, but the team was a lovely (and expensive) bike so I guess it makes sense, most early Team Marins I have seen have a tapered curved blade rigid steel fork so you are spoilt for choice really. Retrobike member Inigo Montoya seems to know as much about Marins as anyone on here, you should PM him about you frame.

That looks so good. Love the Orange and simple black decals. Is taht an original paint job?

All black components and a black fork would loook great.

Yes I think it's the original paint...And black components and a black fork is exactly what I'm trying to put on it!

Nice looking frame, the finish looks exceptionally good for a bike nearly 18 years old. I always liked 90's Marins, they had a good 'no-nonsense' feel to them.

By the way - I wish my French was as good as your English!

Great frame and will make a fantastic build. Will you stay close to a period build or go for the bling option?
