Marin Pine Mountain 1990 - Seat post size?

Gday,

I'm pretty sure its a 1990 - has the zolatone (or what ever it was called) paint.

Just looking for a seat post size, oh and if anyone has a suitable post - let me know.

If it helps, my 90 BV is 26.4

Thin (I think) - so it is a 90. Its easier to tell from the drop out end The serial number will confirm - do a search for the Marin serial number thread ;-)

If you do it up I can help with Tange tubing decals (see sig) and the USA flags

I am planning to do it up, not sure when, just want to get it running first.

So if your 90 Bear Valley is a 26.4, are we assuming the Pine Mountain is a 26.4 also

Bear in mind that that frame uses the Tange OS tubeset. My 1990 Eldridge Grade, which has the exact same frame as the 1990 Pine Mountain, takes a 29.2mm post - weird size that I've only seen on aluminum TREKs before - in fact the post I have in mine is a newer Bontrager part.

After getting part way through the resto on the 1990 Pine Mountain, a 1989 came along

This was the one I was really looking for, and again I need a seatpost, anyone ideas on size?

(And if anyone has a scan of the 89 brochure , that'd be great also)

& my 90 eldridge had a 29.5!! post in it (until i desiezed it lol)
