Marin Pine Mountain 1990 - Seat post size?

My 1990 (fat rear stays) has a 29.5 too.

Thin (I think) - so it is a 90. Its easier to tell from the drop out end The serial number will confirm - do a search for the Marin serial number thread ;-)

If you do it up I can help with Tange tubing decals (see sig) and the USA flags

After getting part way through the resto on the 1990 Pine Mountain, a 1989 came along

This was the one I was really looking for, and again I need a seatpost, anyone ideas on size?

(And if anyone has a scan of the 89 brochure , that'd be great also)

I have nothing useful to add, just wanted to say thanks for posting this because I've been trying to remember which Marin model I used to have back in the early 90's (that was stolen) and could only remember the colors, but never the model name. Thanks for solving something that has been bugging the crap out of me for about 10 years .

Pine Mountain 89 seat pin size

All,

For reference, and for the greater good, the 89 Pine mountain seat post is 26.2mm

And I've never seen a seatpost fit so well, amazing for a 22 year old rusty frame
