Marin palisades trail - what year?

I have got my hands on a fairly nice Marin palisades trail. Its bright orange and purple (purple handlebars, stem and fork). The pictures are a lot paler than the original.

It looks kind of untouched with original brakes, gear crank everything seems to be from the production year. The group is exage 300lx. Tange fram.

I wonder how old it is ???

I'd say, with those shifters, 1990.

Looks like a 1990, with non-UK paintwork.

Should be 300LX mechs and chainset, Exage cantis, Araya VP20 rims.

i found it here in norway on a fleemarked (6£), looks very authentic with minimal use, very thight, hardly changed cassets or anything. lovely bike i will take some more pictures of it, the orange colour is very bright, very 80s.

its a 1991 or 1992

could very well be imported privatly from US, i found it in a neigborhood with lots of connections to the US

If it's a 1" headset it's 1990, if I remember right they went to 1 1/8 in 1991.

On the stem i says: "stem Ø 22.2"...., mm/cm?

The serial number is M905010685, could that be 1990?

The serial number is M905010685, could that be 1990?

22.2 is a 1" headset. It looks very like a 1990 to me, dropouts and brake hanger are identical to mine. Frame number is M905_50803, so it looks the same (the "_" is unreadable on mine).
