Marin palisades trail - what year?

No, the UK models were all painted in a matt grey (looked like a frying pan) with fluoro forks.

If you want a photo of mine to compare, then I can send - but beware, there is nothing left original apart from the frame.

The seatpost should be a 26.2mm diameter.

Hi Eric,

That is the frame I have here in New Zealand.

I think it is 1990.

Frame No. M 905050278

No decals on the forks whatsoever. Just bare purple paint. No sanding or bad scratching evident on the forks.

I have got my hands on a fairly nice Marin palisades trail. Its bright orange and purple (purple handlebars, stem and fork). The pictures are a lot paler than the original.

It looks kind of untouched with original brakes, gear crank everything seems to be from the production year. The group is exage 300lx. Tange fram.

I wonder how old it is ???

regards
eirik

Yes agree mine same colour and style has a complete 300 LX chainset.
I have more pics on flickr.com.

What is the UK paintwork ?

What are you like on the frame numbering Monsieur Hamster?

M 905050278 on the BBS partially under the cable guide .
Masqued panel.

Mine does not have the fork decals at all and I am in Australasia. I am not sure where the bike came from however? We get tourists sell their bikes here etc. But There have been Marin agents in NZ for some time.

Looks like a 1990, with non-UK paintwork.

Should be 300LX mechs and chainset, Exage cantis, Araya VP20 rims.
