I never had much to do with MM, found his posts annoying at times and definitely didn't share his politics. But it seemed quite apparent that he was a decent and generous bloke at heart. Whether this has anything to do with how his comments should have been taken I'm not sure -perhaps we should just judge folks on 'face value' ..Whatever, the guys generosity outside of the forum was certainly disregarded by some, whilst judging his character. I'm not saying he shouldn't be banned, but there's definitely a bit of hypocracy here. Isn't this thread the very definition of irony?

Didn't have too much to do with the lad but am not suprised he finally gone. He was warned but always fell off the wagon.
Tried to keep out of his posts on general chat as they always went down the same road. He added value to the bike sections when he wasn't spamming threads up. I'll always thank him though for the help he gave me via PM for my Manitou forks. Proper walk through advise on how to service them and replied to my numb questions quickly and with good humour.

Well, Marin Man, if you read this, there is no animosity from me and this thread should show you that you had plenty of friends on RB.

i think this thread sums him up quite well, as i said in my previous posts, he was love or hate type of guy.
for the record my posts earlier weren't aimed at inciting any (more) negative feelings his way, and jon(rojo) i wasn't suggesting a ganging up thing. i realise he can't defend himself, but if he hadn't been causing trouble we wouldn't be here now discussing him being banned.
i think the only reason John started this thread is because he posts so often that it would be very noticable that he had been banned and a thread would start anyway.
like i said i deliberately avoided him on the forum because i recognised his more extreme political views as something i didn't like and usually i wouldn't have replied to it but at the time i felt it had to pointed out, as it happened most agreed with me (who saw his comments).
as an AEC (which i don't look on as being any form of authority as such) i do hear/get told more of what goes on behind the scenes, not just riding stuff but about what's going on with the site, so i do feel i have a little more info than some others.
it is a sad situation for the site that it came to this with this chap.

I found some of MM's posts funny.
Others, especially those about forks, looked helpful and informative.

I'd never received any abusive PM's, but if he sent them then the ban is necessary.
You have to play by the rules and as he didn't he's gone. I'll miss his posts though, some of them were genuinely funny.
