I always thought he took the banter really well?
He took the P out of himself more than anyone else did (which was alot).

If a mark was way overstepped then im sorry to hear it. Scott is as subtle as a housebrick, but I liked his nuttyness, and the fact that most of you warmed to him.

it does take two to argue and some were plainly baiting

I hope this is an even keel application to ensure consistency

I know he's had his fair share of ..don't do that again..but I doubt he's the only person involved and it would seem harsh if he was the only person to be punished

I understand the rules are there for a reason and certianly the place works better for them

i have to say i am not surprised by this.


i found that MM had a split personality,

obviously well into his bikes, technically helpful and likes to karma stuff, all good things.

but . . . i personally was never keen on his constant posting on almost every thread style.

and i would never say this if he was still about but i feel now that he has been banned i feel it is no bad thing to say it in defence of those who have to justify his banning:-

i never had any dealings with him until relatively recently when i called him out for a racist anti US comment on the open forum in a highly visable thread. my comment was simply "you are wrong" the next thing i knew i received some of the most hateful abuse from anyone over the internet i have ever seen.

obviously i reported it, only to find out it was not uncommon.

it's sad that this has happened here but even sadder that MM's own actions have caused it.

i do feel he was bated by some more recently but bearing in mind he knew his time here could be ended he still did not try and play the game and be abit more careful.

i realise MM has his friends and that's good, but i feel he has been a love/hate character who has not helped himself.

The early days PMs from MM were just bizarre, some of the threats were genuinely worrying too.

I think I am sad to see anyone banned like that (unless openly stealing money from sales) but, I can genuinely say that I will not miss him.

*EDIT - after reading the whole of the '10,000th post' thread, balls to him.

and reset my bloody post count! Its like a dragging weight!

I did read that thread and he was verbose..but..he wasn't the only one in that thread..nor was he the only one who contributed to the unsavoury end

it does highlight however that one person alone cannot make an argument and it is no good at all say ..dad dad he started it..then walking away with a mischevious smile knowing that only one person has faced the consequences of the many

By all means ban marin if he has broken the rules..but to say he was the only one involved is a bit nausiating

the comment i was referring to was deleted by John, minutes after being posted, as was mine (otherwise it would have looked weird) not many people saw it, i'm not sure what comment you are referring to though, and yes it does take 2 to make an argument, i didn't argue with him though, a 3 word comment to show that while his comment was there that not everyone else agreed with him.

and for the record, i hadn't even had a conversation with him in any thread (because of his posting style did my head in) until that point, then i deliberately avoided him after receiving the PM's.

i'm sure most on the forum would agree i am pretty level headed and not prone to being out of order to anyone, i feel in this case the management were right and i think it needs to be said.

If he broke the rules then they are clear

but

we all have an option to ignore/not reply and walk away

if we choose not to then perhaps ..as I have been saying..Marin was not the only one at fault

I have little more to ofer on the subject but will leave this if I may

the minute you go back into a argument thread that is going pear shaped..then you are as equally responsible as everyone else for the outcome
