Marin Indian Fire Trail

Look like the 1995 version (catalouge is in the Archive&Gallery btw)
White Industries Cranks and seem the chainring have been changed, rest pretty much original.
Funny bull horns on mid risers for some reason, look rediculous but if it's comfy who cares, though a stem change would have looked better.
Each to their own though.
Would guess at 17.5" but serial code will tell for sure. (I'm no expert at guessing the frame sizes)
Again tape measure will get you the length forks you need.

Yep it is 1995 19" frame. I only changed the flat Marin lite bars for some x-lite bars for comfort and you're right it does look a bit ridiculous. I had an old 19.5" Palisades Trail (grey and luminous green!) originally and used it 50% on the road. When I got into cross-country riding more I felt a better bike and a slightly smaller frame would be good hence the IFT.

Ebay currently selling a cracjked IFT with Manitou suspension forks - might try for it as it already fits!!

Any thoughts

Ask for his/her serial code to check it is the same size as yours.

Yours should be something like

MJ5**D***
D maybe something else
5 maybe a 4
J is a guess as I don't know the 1995 frame code for IFT/BFT frames.
(hence why I asked for yours to build up the info to ID frames.)

Frame number is FK5EACO39

F = whichever factor made them, not the traditional marvel we tend to see.
K was my guess for a 1995 frame but I new J was for 1994 . so another blank filled in, though... K is also a rocky ridge (assumed) for 1994 just to confuse matters.

C = 17.5" frame (marin size ctc)
