Clearing out more of my bikes.
Fantastic Dawes super tourist in Reynolds 531ST
Done a great job in my stable for touring around Ireland and daily use but it is just too big for me with drop bars, and I am interested in trying something more modern. I realise now why these are such widely appreciated bikes! I can’t see it gets much better than this for a nice touring frame.
XT rear derailleur, not sure about the front but I can find out if you want. 105 down tube shifters with rx100 brake levers. Sakae bars. Mavic T221 rims with internal width of 17mm. Stem is GB nova 90mm - don’t see too many of those! 8sp at the back with triple ring up front. These cantis aren’t anything special but if you are able to collect in Manchester I can give you maybe a STX RC pair (not full set) if I can find them in my boxes.
I will keep the wahoo mount, the pedals, the lights, and the tyres will be swapped to thinner road tyres as I need these for a different bike.
This frame will fit up to 38mm comfortably as I have it just now but no more. There is also another bottle cage mount under the down tube.
Measures 56cm c-c top tube and 57cm seat tube c-t
Paint generally good condition other than the spot near bottom cage braze ons underneath down tube.
