Marin Bolinas - Late 80's/early 90's AcidHouse Superfreak!

Bling, definitely a statement bike, I like the early nineties acid house bright dayglo colours. Haven't heard of the hubs on the wheels, but look good if nothing else. Look forward to your build. :)

OK. So after a month of waiting, I finally got this baby back from the powder-coaters today. Here it is - not very yellow is it?

I know, I know but having spent the best part of two weeks trying to find somewhere that could match the neon with no success (apparently the pigments aren't very good for you) I stumbled across this finish at a little local firm in Totnes. It's chrome green. The more I look at it, the more I love it. I think it's gonna to look pretty funky with all the purple I've been accruing.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to apply the decals this weekend and should be taking it out for a burn in a couple of weeks.

Finally completed!!! It's only taken 5 months - about 4 months longer than I thought, but alas, just in time for the summer - when it eventually show's.

It's not perfect but I'm well happy with how it turned out. The only original stuff I kept is the frame, forks and stem. Only NOS on it is the Dia Compe 987's with PC700 levers and a few nuts and bolts. Pretty much everything else was sourced from here and the occasional visit to a well known auction site.

I'd like name drop the following for coming up with the goods:

crewealex
Antstark
Jussa
kiwideturin
Rampage
Vinevo
Xlite I hope

Minifreak

Cheers Guys. Excellent service. Much obliged.

Took it for a quick blast round the houses today. It rides like an absolute dream. Looking forward to going round a few of the local trails. 8)
