So here's my new Marin Bear Valley SE. I think it's from 1995, but am not sure! Does anybody knows?

By the way, it's not completely original, but it wil be in the near future! :D

That's lush 8)
The early Marin's are lovely! I have been after one for a while but they all seem to be on the large side!

nice--looks pretty much like the BVSE i had--tange triple butted, rock star tri butted fork--my ONLY beef was the dia-comp headset would not stay tight---great bike tho--i let my brother have it as he wore out his GF hookooheekoo

If you need any help getting original spec (1995) I should be able to help as my old man still has a pretty imaculate original spec one, only thing different maybe the inertubes, but then probably not

Can your 'old man' tell me if this one is indeed from 1995?

Cheers,
Bart

He couldn't but I could ;-)*
Catalouge is in the Gallery & Archive, http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/mai ... emId=12577
though there is a thread in here somewhere on dating Marin's from the serial (I think)

*I woudl say it is, look right, Marin light cantis and original blocks (stradle is wrong). Rear wheel wrong, SRT600(should not have blue grips though) and Diacompe SS-9 ? levers, foam handlebargrip, STX-RC groupset. Correct stem/post/QR etc.. also.
