Marin B16

Retro Newbie
I found this forum while building this Marin B16 recently, very useful info was found so I thought I should join up and post what I've done.
The bike started as a 1999 bare frame and swingarm in good original condition which I then built up as I could afford the bits. Second hand components came from a mate who had all upgraded and left the old bits in his shed - The wheels, brakes and front forks cost me the redecoration of his lounge. The shock was a cheapy off ebay, I splashed out on a new drivetrain, handlebars and shock mounts. Its all done and gets used most weekends at the Forest of Dean. It's the most modern thing I've ever riden and my first full suspension bike. Good fun to build and great fun on the trails

Re:

Thanks for the comments - why I thought it was a B16 I cant imagine, spent all that time a foot away from it building it, I would have thought the B17 sticker on the downtube might have registered. Never mind. Getting old.
