Marin 1991 Wheelset help-Araya Rims?

Well chuffed as I have sourced a 91 Pine Mountain frame/forks/stem but no wheels.

Done a little sniffing around and the correct Araya RM-17 rims seem hard to come by (same story with RM400 which I'd also consider).

Is there a modern equivalent, did Araya morph into another Co.?

Or can anyone suggest a period rim thats still available but could be regarded as a 'legitimate upgrade' ?

Would like to go the OE route but I'm not so stubborn as to wait forever to ride my nostalgia train on the period wheels!!!

only if you use buy now..then if not and no one else bids £80 quid delivered

again..ask the second sale what model araya they are selling

I know mine on the bear valley se are exage hubs with araya tm 18's

and if your after just getting it on the road then i would get some close..use them..and keep looking whilst your still able to ride...not at the same time of course

I know the stx set are resonably priced again look on here or ebay I am sure if you check our for slae mtb section you will find something good


have you tried putting your wants in the mtb wanted section a few colums down?

people with stuff to sell often seek out the buyers
