Cookies work for me, well when I'm not running over works network :-(
Though not sure why I need to see international when just below are all the other auctions from the other countries showing the same auctions.

It's a bit cramped on the phone 4.5" and the smaller screen one is worse. so would probably just use the ebay app and its My Feeds like I do now, If the software did something like that I would use it.

It's nice on the 10" and the new and end soon works well, laptop/computer of course its fine and easy to use but then it's designed for that.
Is there no tablet/mobile modern setup available which is where the market is (given I don't know this side of forums and stuff)

i have searched for Sampson a few times as "Sampsons" means nothing in cycling I believe and also there are 2 "super records" listed , cheers Ian

Easy bit first, that has been corrected.

Made a few new additions to the beta > http://www.retrobike.co.uk/auctiondeux/ as per requests.

It is now possible (when on the results page only at the moment) to specify whether to search title only or title and description and whether to limit the search to national results only.

@Ben - not really looked at the MyFeeds functionality, should probably do so.

Latest batch of updates > http://www.retrobike.co.uk/auctiondeux/

If you life in the UK, US, Germany or Oz you should see local results first. Plan on adding other countries, if you have a specific request please ask.

Any other comments would be good. Plan on making this 'live' in the next few days....

Hummmm, my search just came out US DE GB the wrong way round?

I'm running over Orange T-Mobile for that.

Hmm, odd. Can you try a refresh, I *did* have it setup so UK users would see this order for testing but it should be working as expected now. Assuming you still see the same after a refresh can you copy the line at the bottom of the auction listings and paste here or via PM.

View all (gold ano, gold anno, gold anodised, gold anodized) items on ebay GB. Found 125 items in 2.11 seconds. IP xx.xx.xx.xx | Location GB | Locatedin international | Search Description no

Ok on home PC and it's seeing it as it should (GB on my internet IP)

On mobile *Android on 4.4 (Kit-Kat)
running over Wi-Fi now
using Chrome it's seeing me as US, which is odd given nothing else seems to.
IP is 66.249.92.209
so test another browser
Using Opera (which uses chrome engine) it sees me as my home IP
odd.

I'll have a think.

IP has no lookup by the way.

hum
try something else..
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=IP+st ... 2&ie=UTF-8

Seems it's seeing me as 'google'

Found out why, it's Chrome for mobiles bandwidth management they introduced.
Everything bar https and incognito goes through google servers (they request the page and send it to me) so will be seen as US unless you use some other method I guess. (like my location/time zone in the forum preferences ?)

I just tried it with Opera's off-road mode, which is one of the originals versions of this, they are located somewhere... (dunno)
Interestingly Iit sees as IP 82.145.222.168 Location EU (IP lookup sees it as United Kingdom opera-mini something or other)
BUT places in US DE GB order.
Would guess EU would want US last. or is that just the default order as it doesn't know what EU is

Thanks for the feedback Ben, very, very useful.

Will have to look into whether I can accurately geotarget for browser using such 'bandwidth management'. If not I can always add a manual override perhaps with a cookie option at some point.

To be honest I'd not expected the geotarget to return EU, currently the default order if not in the US, GB, DE or AU (i.e. the catch all) is US - DE - GB. Will update this one.

Righty ho. Looks like chrome and opera both send the real client IP over in the headers when using bandwidth management. As such able to accurately determine location. Looks to be working fine on chrome, can you confirm on Opera please Ben.

Anymore for anymore?
