Make it stop! Explosif

Just been out on first proper ride. It really is a lovely thing. once i got the preload sorted it was a lot better uphill and down, Feels so light and responsive. They really are a different geometry. Makes you want to push on. Not going to repaint. will just leave in full patina. Will treat to a set of period decals though.

Not being fmiliar with full air shocks, do i just pump them up at the top to make them harder? Three valves, top of each leg and another on bottom of one. clueless.

Thanks for all your help with the dating. Much appreciated.

Re:

THM, Looks like a fun proper bike there mate. I switch between my Kilauea and Zaskar for most riding. The Kona is definitely a better ride IMHO. Enjoy!!

For me this bike is what it's about, nothing too precious, well used, a few battle scars and all the better for it. Characterful.

+1

And it gets used. Hooray!

Re:

Ratty, rusty, worn, wrong decals, odd shifters, cracked tyres, etc etc etc. way more than the sum of its parts. Such a lovely thing to ride. Constant grin on a little ride around the castle after setting up for Mayhem.

Re:

Looks ok to me big fella , I'd be wary of using dodgy tyres though
Iv'e heard some nasty tales from people on this forum about doing that

Got some 1.8 pana xc pros I could chuck on. This is the dry bike. Kula with 2.3 verticals for a moist event.
