Dropouts would suggest '93 or older, seatpost clamp suggests '92 or later

Does she have an externally 'ribbed' down tube ?
Ohh suits you sir

For extra pleasure? what would that look like? (don't go there)

Joking aside, literally, "lines" into the down-tube. If you've got some it's a 93.

It's lost the cable guide on the top tube as mentioned along with the rack-mounts and I'm sorry, that paint finish looks nasty (don't get me started on the decals). The 92 Explosif, like all Explosif's to and including 98 were proper nice.

Like this:

Not an Explosif, but a frame with a Tange Ultimate Ultrastrong down tube, which was used for the Explosif at one point.

Re:

Been busy this evening, re greased headset, stripped/renewed cables and a bit of a clean and lube. First ride really nice with the modern forks. Jockey wheels are shot as chain rubs cage dye to play but other than that smooth changes out of the box.will swap to skinny trailblasters and get a cable stop to tidy up the nice red ties but other that than I may just go rat bike!

Frame number 218815 as best I can make out

Re:

The serial number is usually in parallel with the drive side of the bb. It's probably burried under the rattle can paint job.
