Maintenance tips for Flite saddles

I've never tried it personally, but Jez on here swears by turtle wax... Apparently it's abrasive enough to pull out the grime without damaging the leather, and then buffs up to a nice shine...

I tend to scrub with a damp cloth and fairy liquid, then stick some shoe polish on and buff up when thoroughly dry. Makes it pretty slippy when finished though which is either a bonus or not depending on how much you squirm around in the saddle.

I tend to be a squirmer so suits me well...

Guys think of it like this .................................
Leather is skin .............................................. how would you look after your skin?

I get enough piss-taking off 'She-who-must-be-obeyed' as it is without resorting to giving my saddle a facial!

Saying that I do have some fancy leather softener as used by Rolls Royce I bought to make a pair of original '70's cowboy boots wearable...

Damn, did I just say that out loud!
