The slave adjustment is simplest in two stages. Firstly set the collars to get the slave the right distance from the rim. It can all be very loose at this stage - not even finger tight.
Then tighten the mounts up a little and set the slave angles. The slaves should still rotate easily in the mounts. Finally tighten up. Don't overtighten the mounts for the top parts to touch - they should have a gap of around 1mm+ or so.
