Magura hs33 on marin frs

Hi All,

Has anyone used a magura hs33 rim brake with booster on a marin frs 1997?
I ve got a mount vision pro with the original swingarm and fox alps shock with these fitted. The brake booster seems very close to the seatpost tube when fitted.
Does anyone run a similar set up......and how did you get on with it?

my '98 B17 came with a magura on the rear, worked fine. swingarms are probably different but can't be far off.

To be honest you don't need the booster on the rear, you never need all that power as the rear simply locks up.

I think the booster is more to reduce the load on the fragile frame...

I did fit it but cut a 'curve' out at the top of the brake booster to give me an extra 5/6mm clearance. Works fine. Loads of flex in swingarm without booster
