Middle ring on my newly acquired 2012 BMC Trailfox carbon bouncer is worn. Replacement difficult to find - and expensive!

Would a lesser quality fit/work acceptably for my tow path excursions:

Shimano FC-T521 10 Speed Triple Middle Chainring, 32T-AE Black

Expect and excuse forthcoming questions....this thing has hydraulic disc brakes and other modern stuff about which I know very little.

Thanks.

Pretty sure I have a new middle ring in my collection. May even have a full set of nos triple rings if you want to refresh the whole lot too.

^ Thanks. Certainly interested in middle, all 3 depending on price! Paid a modest 380 quid for complete, all original, vgc, bike, so don't want to go too OTT on spares.
PM me?

^ Thanks, hamster. Had browsed Spa but not a lot in 104 4 arm 10 speed.
At only £13.65 the one referenced in OP probably best bet.
Longevity not an issue - only a few '000 miles spread over a number of bikes about all that's left to me!

Hectic week, catching up on admin. Here's a few pics of a couple of sets of triple rings I have. Top are nos xt, never been fitted or seen a chain. The lower set in pics is used, by that I'd say new take off. They've seen a chain but briefly as literally no wear. They aren't xt, can't remember what cranks they came off, maybe slx as I've had some in the past I swapped over to 1x, maybe Deore, though I don't recall owning any Deore cranks of this era. Middle ring is same as xt.

I do also have a new middle ring somewhere in another box, probably with my m970 spares as they also run the same middle ring.

I seem to remember that there are tabs on the spider that get in the way of certain makes of chainring when fitting to a shimano crank

Just make visual check over first, compare the rings side by side, make sure nothing sticks out

Thanks for your time and trouble, Ian. The non-xt set would do fine - all depends on price! Very much OAP budget at moment, so if you can let me know I'll decide v quickly.
Rgds, dave.

Thsnks. My thoughts also, why I haven't just bought a 32T from e.g. Spa.
