M-ighty singlespeed cranks

Sounds like Sugino.

They make a "Super Mighty" crankset, as well "Grand", "Competition" and regular "Mighty" cranksets.

I would not use them for off-road use, as they are intended for road use. I'm not sure if they made MTB "Mighty" cranks or not, but I doubt it.

I have a pair of Sugino Mighty 900 180mm 94 BCD five cranks which I have used for singlespeeding without any bother. They're nicely made and feel quality.
Also got a set of Sugino Mighty road cranks in 177.5 BCD which look quite classy in an old school kind of a way.

Anything Sugino Mighty seem a fair bet !

There were some cold forged cranks sold under the 'Mighty' model designation that were a step above the Impel. Spec'd on some US Kona models like the Explosif back in the early 90s. They were 5 bolt compact ring compatable cranks with one of the bolts hiden behind the arm, if memory serves. Quality was very nice, Sugino's answer to XTR. If you have that model Mighty, you should snap a pic and post in on the board so I can drool over it, then you should ride the sucker on your singlespeed without regrets.

I have a set that came with my 97 Kula.. Mighty 900's. They are very nice and will probably remain on the bike in its new single speed guise.

Bingo! Those are bad-ass.

and in real life.. not quite so shiny, I'll probably polish them up, although I'll lose what is left of the logo's.. :(
