Lost the bug

i had lost the bug until i found this site one day..now its back but not as bad... i still love retro bike bits.. i have no interest in the new stuff at all..i dont ride as much as i used to given i have to work now but when i do ifeel great (an hour afterwards when me lungs stop hurting)...

Get a road bike or a CX bike, enter a race, plan a trip, just mix it up a little.

Go riding with members of your local area group.Their infectious enthusiasm will get things back on track 8)

8 days to get to Dunkeld for the McRetro meet
I guarantee you wont be alone 8) :D

Winter is a bind.
Short dull days, crappy weather not enough time and trails that have that quagmire feel.

Give it time and wait for a dry day to go for a spin. There is no harm in easing off and besides you've been busy and have other things to deal with.

i had a cull of bikes, to just 2........makes me happy when im not searching for parts, or have other bikes on the mind all the time.

i have 2 riders, one for all weathers, one for longer nice rides.

im never free from work this time of year, so i use the all duties bike for short rides around my local tracks and trails.

The bug will comeback.

I have been forced to give up riding, and haven't been on a bike for about eight months. The passion hasn't gone from this old fart when it comes to old bikes, even though I may never ride one again.

Trust me,when you've been bitten the bug never leaves.

Ride ya bike dummy!!

al.

ps my back hasn't been this pain free for seven years. :D

Mine's long gone...

The desire has all but vanished.

I'm keeping a couple of important (to me) bikes for sentimental reasons.
