Looking for Brodie info, Sovereign/Expresso help needed.

Cheers sinnerman! I've been watching retro-roy's thread aswell, you and others have posted some great info, and having not known much about the brand before, this info is making these frames much more desirable to me! Just hope the frames are in good shape and the seller will take a reasonable offer.

no probs mate, please bere me in mind for the spare one...

And good luck i hope you get it too. 8)

So, this was the last I heard from the seller....

"Steve,

I am currently assessing the value of the Brodie frames based on recent online sales. I am watching this auction to see what the final sale price will be. After it has completed we can discuss pricing, assuming I am still interested in selling.'

That was back on the 7th of Jan. Not heard from him since....

Tell the seller that Germany (and in particular ebay.de) is located somewhere between Mordor and Narnia as far as retro bikes/parts prices go, and auctions there are not a particularly good indication of real world prices.

If the eXpresso auction price was so unrepresentative of typical market value, what would someone reasonably expect to pay for a sovereign or an eXpresso?

I always kind of wonder why "handbuilt" is considered a distinguishing feature. What frame is not handbuilt?

If only it were my size. I would buy that (handbuilt by Paul)Brodie frame immediately.
