Long rear centre-pull hangers

Dirt Disciple
None of the rear brake hangers I could get locally were any good - too short, too heavy, too rusty, too ugly.

So I started making some. These are a brass nut drilled and tapped M6x1 (common adjuster thread), silver-soldered to a bit of stainless spoke. To be clear, this is real silver-solder, it melts at red heat, they make frames with it - it's not the "silver-bearing" stuff you can do with a soldering iron. The nut has holes cross-drilled in it, and the ends of the spoke are bent 90 degrees and soldered into the holes. You mount it in the slot between your seat-clamp ears, it goes around the bolt.

I'll sell these. I think I can get away with mailing them in a thickish letter-sized envelope, so 10 GBP for one, 7 GBP for more than one, and I'll pay postage.

All you get is the hanger, you have to supply your own adjuster. If you want a different thread, or a thinner spoke (needed if your seat-clamp kerf is narrow), or a specific length, just let me know.

MK III now available

This one has a ring to hold the cable outer inline with the adjuster screw. It'll cost more, 13 GBP for one, 10 for more than one, and I'll pay postage. Different length/different thread/no ring (cheaper), just ask.
