Cheers, it's currently getting a spring clean and an upgrade. The tyres are Schwalbe City Jets 1.95", i've rode them on the wagon ways and they aren't to bad,you get rattled about a bit with having a high psi though

nice ride. i'm a big gt fan (love my karakoram k2 in galactic fade). a while ago i fully renovated such a purple haze karakoram as a gift for an old friend of mine. he still loves and rides it, all his other bikes are gone by now

Just finishing the spring clean on the GT, i love the paint on it.

Weird weather up north today it started to snow A quick couple of photos of the GT in bad light after the spring clean.
Ive switched the parts to Deore DX so the rear mech, front mech and Chainset have been swapped out. Also the front cantilevers are now low profile DX, tyres are now Nos Dart and Smoke.
Probably gonna swap the wheels bacause now the dark rims don't suit it in my opinion.
Hopefully the sun is out over the weekend and it'll look better

This is my retrobike ocd at work I had to have the fixing bolt for the seatclamp to match, it's all about the finishing touch

Just finished giving another of my lockdown bikes a spring service.
My 1989 Kona Cindercone.
The thinking behind this build was simple, i always thought Kona were tight speccing there bikes back in 89 ie Explosif had Deore ll where other manufacturers specced XT ll on there top bike. So i decided the Cindercone deserves the Deore ll groupset instead of Mountain LX and when i get round to building the Explosif that'll have Deore XT ll I've got a set of Deore ll Comp pedals for it but they need a full strip down and respray so they'll be going on at a later date.
There'll be two more joining the thread soon, that 88 Marin Bear Valley behind the Cindercone and a 88 Muirwoods both are in various states of spring cleaning.
The GT has now went into spring cleaning part 3, my retrobike ocd has kicked in on that bike
