Dan did my frame; blasting, powdercoat and postage for £50. I thought it was a pretty good deal myself.

I'm surprised he hasn't replied to your e-mail. Maybe he's on holiday? Might be worth giving him a call?

I don't do phones unless absolutely necessary. . . . once I'm absolutely set I'll try again

£50 is most agreeable especially if return postage is included. . .

On the back of my powdercoating for £20 quote.. rang the £80 place for a quote on sandblasting.

Should've known better really. . . £50

I remember from long ago that some of these paint places use bead blasting as opposed to sand blasting and that bead blasting can damage thin alu tubing.

Is this true? I'll be having my frame done eventually.

I've heard of bead blasting but not in relation to frames etc.

Well its like sand blasting, but with tiny beads. Basically your frame supposedly comes out looking like its been in a hail storm and is only fit for the bin.

Might be worth asking, dunno. I bow to our more experienced blasters.

BTW, anyone know a decent chap to p/coat in the Heathrow area? Would just be one staandard colour.
