Old School Grand Master
joining up and bombarding threads with offers of items they have for sale................is it the time of year,or a bit weird :?:

seems quite alot more than usual at the mo. :?

Wish one of them would offer up a nice pair of 94bcd shiny black LX cranks..

Or something along them lines. . :?

One offered me some gold kcnc jockey wheels the other day.....and then nothing, maybe good intentions but sometimes it seems dodgy,I mean would you punt money over to a newbie and then they leg it......nothing you could do about it

Also you noticed they don't seem to realise real retro is early 90's and before.
All newbs seem to think later 90's is retro and dare not venture back into the blissful early 90's world.
f-ing wimps.

Yes they post things up for sale that date to the late 90s and the stuff is quite usually common

I think because retro bikes have become the new ebay..in that some one has seen a market doing well so everyone wants a slice..just like when choppers were fetching high money a coupla years ago

certianly I am not sure of the qualifying for sale post/time?

Another site I go to won't allow anyone to sell for the first month to stop it being taken advantage of fly by nights

also.. and I suspect a good kick in here  ..many of us in here are around late 30's to late 40's and as such these bikes did mean a lot to us as it was before the electronic age..some have seen that wish to want happy memories and people not into retro but into profit have seen a quick buck

that said the market is poor like houses and such means now is a good time to buy

everything is swings and roundabouts though

The upside is that many more of us are able tospend money because the prices are now becoming reasonable again

"Newbies"---what does that mean exactly? Does it mean you are new to this site? What constitutes "new"? Does it mean you haven't been posting here very long, such as less than, say, 1 year? Or does it mean you haven't posted more than 100 times? Seems to me some smugness is emanating from some guys who post a lot, who cares how new or often someone posts on here, the point is to enjoy bikes and talking with other enthusiasts about them! :D

Newbies,is the term used by this site to tell you that someone has only just joined, hence the word new being included

Not minding new members at all but just commenting on new members who dont read the rules and post for sale items underneath other peoples discussions and wether they can be trusted to send goods that we buy when they have only just joined, people have been caught out before thats all.
