Limited Edition GT

I think I'm right in thinking that the frame is a ltd edition 1 of 500. The actual bike is a one off built for MBUK's 20th anniversary and all the parts are customised by the manufacturers. So you would be buying something unique, whether you think the MBUK tie in is worth it is debatable.

Correct.

BTW I think I agree Ian, I would one day like to own a Zasker, it's on my list, but, would accept what ever I could get and certainly not pay an a silly ltd edition price.

Seem's the limited edition, was a marketing ploy by GT, would they sell in huge numbers if they where brought back into production?.

Probably not, are they a good bike yes.

BTW, limited edition is just corporate speak, for we are going to charge you more, now how can we justify it.

:)

+1

Re-issues are now happening a lot in the world of skateboarding with similar results.....seen boards on e-bay at hugely inflated prices, we're talking £600  Collectors hysteria!

But this bike's true market value as a new bike would be circa £1500.
I dont see the correlation between over inflated prices and this particular 'Ltd' edition.

The frame was (eventually) available for £300 new, hardly overpriced?

What I find strange is that as a collective we are hunting for elusive Retro parts, but when a manfucturer listens to demand and releases a Retro re-issued jewel like this frame, the same people are complaining.

I'll be keen to see the uproar when Shimano re-releases M732 XT Thumbies for £100 a pop.
